RATTAIL GRENADIER Too Much Of A Good Thing 1991

Discogs

Rattail Grenadier was a punk band from Lafayette, Indiana, USA, formed in 1984 by brothers Mass (bass) and Flav (guitar) Giorgini, Dan Lumley (drums) and Steve Best (vocals). After two self-released cassettes (the first featuring a trio without Steve), the band made its vinyl debut with a self-titled album on Chicago's Roadkill Records (3), a label owned by Steve's brother, Dave, and run by members of Screeching Weasel. The band released a follow up album in 1991, featuring Rick Harris on vocals in place of Steve Best. In 1992, Harris left the group to concentrate on obtaining his Ph.D. and was replaced by Quentin Flory. This line-up appeared a few compilation tracks. In 1994, the Giorgini brothers decided to put band to rest in order to care for their terminally ill father. The following year, the Giorgini brothers and Dan Lumley reunited to form Squirtgun. Dan and Mass were also members of Screeching Weasel from 1997 through 2000. The original line up of Rattail Grenadier has occasionally reunited to perform a song or two at some Squirtgun shows.
