Rock band put together in 1991 the by Austin, Texas-based Michael Hall
and Alejandro Escovedo and Los Angeles-based Walter Salas-Humara. The
band was formed in order to play a set at the Berlin Independence Days
Festival. After this show, they were signed to a record deal with a
German label.
