MURRAY ATTAWAY In Thrall 1993

Discogs

Murray Attaway Biography by John Bush

As the lead singer for Guadalcanal Diary, Murray Attaway led the band through four albums from 1984 to 1989. After an acrimonious break-up, he took a few years off to work on his songwriting but returned in 1993 on In Thrall, recorded for DGC. His new group of musicians included guitarist Robbie Blunt, multi-instrumentalist Jon Brion, bassist Eric Pressley, drummers Pat Mastelotto and Jim Keltner, keyboard players Nicky Hopkins, Steve Nieve and Benmont Tench. The album was produced by Tony Berg.
