Jazz singer Pamela Laws met bassist Nancy Hess
in Berkeley, CA, in 1991. The two hit it off and began playing acoustic
dates around Northern California. They later went electric, adding
guitarist Ken Weller and drummer Matt Boudreau. Seven Day Diary
began to play around the Bay Area, and released the Figure Six EP.
Warner Bros., reacting to heavy college airplay, signed the band,
re-released the EP and, in 1995, issued Skin and Blister.
