Barely Pink Biography by Matt Collar

Lead by vocalist/guitarist Brian Merrill, melodic rockers Barely Pink make punchy pop/rock inspired by such '70s pop luminaries as Todd Rundgren, Cheap Trick, and Kiss. Also featuring guitarist Mark Warren, bassist Michael Hoag, and drummer/vocalist Stan Arthur, Barely Pink formed in the early '90s, releasing an initial five-song EP, Starduster, in 1995. Numberonefan, Barely Pink's debut full-length CD, appeared on Big Deal Records in 1997, with Elli's Suitcase following in 1998. Both albums were eventually picked for distribution by Not Lame Records as the band recorded its third CD, Last Day of Summer, released on the label in 2003.
