Three-piece rock band from the Gold Coast / Brisbane, Australia, formed in 1993.
They released the EP Find What You Like & Let It Kill You in
1994, the EP Losin' Your Marbles in 1995, and the full-length The Betty
Shakes in 1997. Vocalist/guitarist Kim Myer and bassist Mindy Mapp
appeared on all three releases, but a different drummer played on each
release. Peter Werth played on Find What You Like & Let It Kill You,
Simon (last name unknown) played on Losin' Your Marbles, and Michelle
(last name unknown) played on The Betty Shakes.
Fur disbanded in 1998, but briefly reunited in 2015 to tour with
Jebediah. The lineup consisted of Kim, Mindy, and new drummer Dan McKay.
The band's debut EP was also released on vinyl via original drummer
Peter Werth's label Conquest of Noise in 2018.
