Artist Biography by John Bush

Vocalist Paul Taylor and guitarist James Mountford formed Kerosene (then called Collision) in Manchester in 1991. They originally used a drum machine and sampler, but later added bassist Mr. Hancox and drummer Gus. Their 1993 U.S. debut on Sire was Arrythmia, an album that showed their crunchy, U.K. alterna-pop sound.
