HERE KITTY KITTY Kiss Me You Fool 1994

AllMusic Review by

Here Kitty Kitty is one of those semi-rare projects that doesn't draw a whole lot of distinctions between pop-punk and jangly indie. Sounding very much like Lookout Records' Potatomen, Kiss Me You Fool moves through a series of stripped-down, dimly recorded pop songs that make up in charm and comparative complexity what they lack in ambition. The record should appeal to indie pop fans who don't mind a bit more rock action, and pop-punk fans who aren't such purists that they can't handle a bit of indie pop tweeness -- that is, anyone who's ever loved Cub, the Vehicle Flips, the Potatomen or Go Sailor.
