Formed in 1987 in the Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois by vocalist Chris Bernat and bass player Wes Haas, Tripmaster Monkey showed their high-energy alternative rock on a 1992 self-produced EP. Sire signed the band in early 1993, and released Faster than Dwight.
