Artist Biography by Chris True
Noise pop quartet Aenone
hailed from Nyack, NY, and released just one critically acclaimed EP
for Kokopop in 1993. Melding shoegazer guitar work with gentle vocals
and a solid rhythm section, leader Craig Sterns, guitarist Kim
Collister, bassist Bill Starr, and drummer Steve Crowley wowed the indie rock press with Saints and Razors, but the band was to be short-lived. Later, Sterns, Collister, and bassist Bill Stair would join forces as Nyack, and would yet again resurface in 1997 as Fork.
