PET ENGINE Feeling Like A Hundred Bucks 1997

AllMusic Review by

Feeling Like a Hundred Bucks sounds like it could have been huge -- most of its composition is in line with the sort of vaguely indie, post-grunge rock that dominated "alternative" radio and much of MTV in the late '90s. In an independent context, however, this oh-so-standard sound is a fairly large liability -- decent hooks and songwriting don't quite make up for the lack of stylistic innovation and slick production the record features. For those far on the mainstream end of rock, however, Feeling Like a Hundred Bucks has a chance at being very appealing.
