AllMusic Review by Stephen Schnee
Their first album proper, Silver Sun
don't mess with their formula much but come out smelling sweet due to
James Broad's knack for writing classy pop songs with a bite. "Golden
Skin" kicks the doors open and the band never lets up. "Julia," "Dumb,"
"Service" and "Bad Haircut" join the list of top-notch Silver Sun
songs, with nothing on the album falling below the quality control
limits set by their first batch of singles. With not much variation
between songs, some may find it easier to take the album in doses, but,
as a whole, it's pretty damn impressive.
