Lowcraft came on to the scene
as Absinthe and took off for stardom immediately. Quickly labeled by
anyone that heard them as, "the next
big thing," they made a name for themselves playing gigs up and down
the west coast and even making a trip to the South-by-Southwest Music
Showcase. You might remember them showing up on MTV's "The Real
World" in Seattle.
A record label, Disco Volante, finally recognized the opportunity being
presented and signed the band. Once the boys were in London recording
and preparing for a UK tour, it was discovered that another artist was
one of the most unfortunate misuses of an excellent band name in the
history of music.
Only a little saddened by this turn of events, the band quickly recovered
and came up with a new name, Lowcraft! Bass player, Clark Stiles was
replaced with Peter Noone and now the band is poised to take over the
world!
