Formed in 1989
Frente had a string of hit singles in the early 90s - Ordinary
Angels, Accidentally Kelly Street, Labour of Love and their beautiful
acoustic take on New Order's Bizarre Love Triangle.
They also enjoyed considerable success with their debut, Marvin the
album, selling a million copies around the world, and their follow-up,
Shape, a sophisticated mesh of acoustics, technology and wonderful song
writing. Along the way the band toured extensively around Australia and
the world, hand picked to play with the likes of Alanis Morissette, the
Beautiful South and Everything But The Girl.
In 2004 Simon and Angie with some well received shows in Los Angeles
and New York. Angie and Simon were joined by Bill McDonald and Pete
Luscombe to play a sell out tour of Australia in early 2005.
