Artist Biography by Gina Boldman

Magic Basement Universal Honey was comprised of Leslie Stanwyck (guitar, vocals), Simon Craig (guitar), Johnny Sinclair (bass), and Tim Timleck (drums). Honey began in the fall of 1992 after Stanwyck and Sinclair left the Pursuit of Happiness in 1990. Magic Basement, Honey's full-length debut, was released in 1993; Earth Moon Transit followed in 1997. The group gained exposure from MTV2, but overall the record did not provide the breakout the bandmembers would have liked. A self-titled release for Oasis Records arrived in 1999, and soon much of their music was appearing on TV shows like Dawson's Creek and Grosse Pointe. A fourth album, Fearless, came out in 2001 and much of the music from the documentary Searching for Debra Winger came from the record. The following fall, Invincible marked their fifth album. In 2003, Sinclair and Stanwyck wrote 12 original holiday tunes for the Universal Honey album Can't Stop Thinking About Christmas. Vicious Circles quickly followed in early 2004.

PSYCHAGOGO Psychagogo Suck 1995

Discogs

Psychagogo was an underground Japanese punk band that first formed in 1991. The band seemed to have disappeared by 2000, but returned in 2005 with the release of "Picnic in Altamont '69", their first full length album in nearly a decade. Unfortunately, Psychagogo once again vanished shortly after its release, and nothing has been heard of from the band since the album's release.

Artist Biography by Mike DaRonco

Tinnitus The No-No's began in Portland, Oregon in 1995 through the collaboration of former Tiger Trap vocalist Heather Dunn on drums and her friend Robin on vocals. After recruiting guitarist Mike Clark and Halo Banders bassist Ralf Youtz, the completed line-up was followed by a number of demos and weekend tours. Ross Records released the group's debut single "New Species Anthem" in 1997, resulting in immediate Tiger Trap and Fastback comparisons. The hybrid of indie-pop-punk continued in 1999 as the group's own Chromosome Records put out the album Secret Luminaries in January 1999. Dunn departed soon after its release to join the Bangs and Dub Narcotic Sound System. The No-No's continued on as Chromosome issued the 2000 EP Damage Done and the full-length Tinnitus in mid-2000.

HARVESTER Me Climb Mountain 1996

AllMusic Review by James Chrispell

Harvester came from America's great Northwest, but that is about all they have in common with other better-known bands from that area. "Me Climb Mountain" sounds more like a cross between roots-rockers Blue Mountain and Canada's Waltons. Standout tracks include "Great Springwaters Of America", "My Buffalo Song" and "It's Been A Long Day". Also, don't miss the bonus track hidden at the end of the CD.
